What Makes Up Your Comfort System?

 

Indoor Unit

 
The Indoor part of your ducted comfort system is either a furnace or air handler. This unit contains the blower which circulates air throughout your home. A furnace may use gas or propane. An indoor coil can be added to provide comfort year round. An Air Handler contains a blower, coil and electric heat strips. The indoor unit is matched with an outdoor unit to bring comfort to your home. 
 

Outdoor Units

 
Outside your comfort system will have either an Air Conditioner or Heat Pump. An air conditioner will cool and dehumidify your home. A heat pump works the same way but can also provide heat in the colder months.
 

Ductwork Leakage Testing

 
Leaking ducts can reduce heating and cooling system efficiency by as much as 20%. Duct sealing or replacement increases efficiency, lowers your energy bills, and can often pay for itself in energy savings. A duct test is performed to ensure your energy savings and comfort.
