The efficiency of a furnace or heating systems is determined by its AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) or a gas furnace’s efficiency in converting fuel to energy. The higher the AFUE, the more energy efficient the furnace is and the more money you can save on you heating bills. Here's how:
A gas furnace with an 80% AFUE rating means that 80 cents of every $1.00 of heating energy expense goes toward heating your home. A gas furnace with a 95% AFUE rating means that 95 cents of every $1.00 of heating energy expense is heating your home. Thus, a 95% AFUE furnaces is more energy efficient and wastes less energy.

A Quieter System
Shamrock variable-speed furnaces are equipped with an electronically commutated motor (ECM). The ECM creates a gradual fan blower speed change which means a quieter and more efficient heating system.
Constant Temperatures
Both our Premium and Deluxe Furnaces use two-stage heating performance technology. The unit operates on the low stage 85% of the time, only switching to full capacity on extremely cold days. Conventional furnaces running at 100% capacity cycle on and off and can create temperature differences of up to 6 degrees from your comfort setting. This also creates temperature pockets in your home that trap air. A two-stage ECM motor creates better circulation and makes your home more comfortable.
A shamrock Premium Furnace gives you the optional performance in forced air heating. Variable speed motors and two-stage operation provide the ultimate in comfort, quiet operation, and low energy bills. These are our best units, and they come with our limited 10-year parts and labor warranty.
Backed with a 10-year parts and labor warranty, our Deluxe Furnace operates with two-stage technology and a standard blower box.
A low cost but still high quality alternative, Shamrock Standard Furnace includes an energy efficient blower motor and two-stage heating. These units come with 10-years parts warranty and 1-year labor warranty.
A low cost alternative, our Basic Furnace provides comfort and is backed by the basic equipment parts warranty and a 1-year labor warranty.
